SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM)
The SAFe® Scrum Master course is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of the role of a Scrum Master in the context of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®). As a SAFe® Scrum Master, you will learn how to guide teams through the challenges of scaling Agile in an enterprise setting, fostering collaboration, and delivering high-quality products at scale. This course emphasizes the unique challenges faced by Scrum Masters in a SAFe® environment and equips them with the skills needed to become a successful servant leader and facilitator.
The course covers essential SAFe® concepts such as facilitating Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups), collaborating with Product Owners, resolving team impediments, and continuously improving team performance while adhering to SAFe® principles. By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to support Agile teams and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure the success of Agile initiatives at scale.

Recommended Prerequisites

While there are no specific prerequisites to attend the course, it’s recommended that participants have experience working in an Agile environment. A SAFe® Agilist course or other foundational Agile courses could be helpful for those new to the SAFe® framework.
Certification Preparedness
The SAFe® Scrum Master course prepares participants for the SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) Certification Exam. After completing the course, participants will need to pass the exam to receive their official certification. This exam will test your understanding of the Scrum Master role in a SAFe® environment, including how to facilitate teams, remove impediments, and apply SAFe® principles to support Agile teams and their successful delivery.
