Leading SAFe® (SAFe® Agilist)

The Leading SAFe® course is designed to help individuals gain a comprehensive understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) and how to lead an Agile transformation in their organization. This course is ideal for leaders, managers, and executives looking to implement Lean-Agile practices at scale. As a SAFe® Agilist, you will learn how to deliver value more efficiently, align development efforts with business objectives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. 

Throughout this course, you will explore how SAFe® helps organizations achieve business agility by focusing on principles such as Lean, Agile, and DevOps. You will learn how to lead agile transformations, implement SAFe® practices, and support Agile Release Trains (ARTs), as well as guide teams through Program Increment (PI) planning. By the end of the course, you will understand how to lead an organization to achieve sustained success and optimize delivery at scale using SAFe®.

Recommended Prerequisites

While there are no formal prerequisites, it is recommended that participants have: 

  • Basic knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices 
  • Experience working in an Agile environment or familiarity with Lean principles 
  • Familiarity with SAFe® concepts, or completion of a foundational SAFe® for Teams or SAFe® Scrum Master course would be beneficial 
Certification Preparedness

This course prepares participants for the SAFe® Agilist (SA) certification exam. After completing the course, participants will need to pass an online exam to become a certified SAFe® Agilist. The certification exam assesses your understanding of the SAFe® framework, Lean-Agile principles, and how to apply them to lead and drive Agile transformations in an enterprise context.
